Gale's Process

Our process is quite simple, however quite thorough as well. Once you have contacted us we talk with you, asking several different questions. It is not unusual to not know exactly what you want. This is what is so wonderful about working with us. We know the right questions to ask you in order to help you establish in your own mind what type of mural and theme that you are looking for. Think of things such as:

  • What type of things do you like? Hobbies you have? Scenes that help make you relaxed and calm. Often these are the types of things that people like murals of...
  • What room will the mural be going into?
  • Will the mural be on a wall with windows?
  • Will the mural be a focal point when you enter the room?
  • Do you want the mural to “match” with the rest of the room’s design/theme?
  • Will the furniture in the room be staying where it is now or do we need to take into consideration any changes that may take place?
  • For a child’s room: Will the mural be “age appropriate” for your child in several years- or are you willing to replace it once he/she grows out of it?
  • For a child’s room: Do you want to involve your child in the design process so that he/she feels special and feels as though this is “their” project?

Once you have established some themes or ideas, we may suggest some places for you to look at pictures of images to give us a clearer idea of what you may be looking for. This way you have some ideas to show us when we meet with you in person.

The next step is to have us come to you for a complimentary design consultation. Seeing the actual room is always more beneficial than just talking about it. (If you prefer, you may choose to e-mail us some views of the room taken by a digital camera.)

At your design consultation we will have our “brain-storming” session. We will be able to establish a firm idea of what you want in a mural design by the time we leave your home/place of business. Please keep in mind that we work off of images. Since everything is painted “free-hand” we can use one or integrate many images together to create precisely what you want. That is what is so wonderful of creating your own piece of art... step-by-step.

We then come back and put together a detailed written proposal. This proposal will include among other things: your mural’s design, mural’s location and your mural’s color combinations. Also- a simplified thumbnail sketch showing the room’s interior with suggested image locations for the mural will be included.

...The sky is your limit...let your imagination (along with ours) soar...
