Murals by Gale is mainly a mural business, however, being the artistic company that we are, we have found ourselves doing many more projects than just murals for a lot of our clients...

Looking through the Murals by Gale portfolio you will see many other exciting projects created besides the murals. What often comes about is that we are called to a home or business with intentions of discussing a mural project and we often leave with other projects ready to be started.

For example, we were invited to look at a little girl’s room to create a mural on one wall. We discovered that she could be quite an early riser. Her parents had “news-papered” her 1/2 moon window and then draped a sheet over her blinds to keep the early morning sun out. What we did was create a beautiful two-layer built in valance. During the daylight the sun projected a beautiful lavender color from the back of the valance that threw its color through the top layer of white and complemented the rest of the room’s interior. At night all you could see on the inside of the room was a soft white fabric with tiny pink hearts attached cleverly inside of the half-moon cut out window.

Their other concern was if they ever moved, they would want to be able to move at least part of the mural with them. What we did was create a mural partially on the wall and partially on a canvas. This way if they moved, they would be able to bring a part of their daughter’s room with them!

They wanted not only a mural, but something different.. Something 3-D! So- what we did was create a one of a kind 3-dimensional mural. We incorporated a canvas, with specially sewn 3-dimensional “puff-art” attached to a canvas. This “puff-art” was sewn into predetermined shapes and stuffed with  stuffing. The outcome was a piece of art that looked as though it was part of the wall. Very creative and very original!

We have also painted furniture, an armoire for instance, to tie in the design of the wall mural. This particular room comprised of wisteria and fairies surrounding the room’s interior. We painted these fairies on the armoire as well.

Another example is of decorative wooden handles for a dresser that were designed in shapes of different images repeated throughout the rest of the room’s murals and 3-D artwork.

So as you can see, you might call us to paint a  mural for you, but we are more than prepared to create an entire theme of your very own!!!
